In 2017, Zuoix saw the need for a new kind of car security system and a novel fleet management platform. But what was the problem?

Car theft is a global problem affecting businesses, governments and individuals alike. Tech Companies have tried their best to solve this with various systems – However, all of these solutions depended heavily on the need for internet connectivity. The problem with this can be listed in the following categories

1. Low internet coverage in certain areas
2. The high cost of the internet means high cost for clients
3. Internet systems are easily hacked and blocked by car thieves.

In 2017, the developers at Zuoix™ witnessed this first hand in Cameroon when the government in a bid to curb anti-government protests, disconnected the internet for part of the country for a period of 90+ days. This made the development team come up with a state of the art car tracking system that uses SMS and satellite technology.
